The Iowa Clinic Nuclear Medicine Department specializes in nuclear medical imaging. Technologists perform PET/CT scanning and imaging to help uncover abnormalities that otherwise might go undetected. This allows the doctors to treat a disease based on the cellular function and physiology rather than relying on anatomy.
